 Today Inspire attended D.C. String concert at the First Congressional Church down in D.C. It was our job to assist D.C. Strings in facilitating the event. We held interviews, set up photography and filming equipment and enjoyed some really beautiful concert music.

  This is my weeks field highlights. This weeks tasks were a test at how well we would be able to maintain our attitudes while out on the streets talking to people about the local charity (D.C. Strings ) we represent. I think this was by far one of the hardest things I had to do. I found it extremely uncomfortable trying to stop people to talk. Everyone seemed too busy to stop and in a hurry. I started the week trying to be positive but failing to maintain the best outlook. I ended the week in a much better place and even  enjoyed the conversation we shared with a few people we stopped.

    We nailed down a rough draft idea for our poster design for our DC GIVES BACK  events. We have two events for this campaign-Auction house, and parade. I am responsible for making revisions to our designs and visuals. Today was also a in  house strategy day we reached out to business for sponsorships, inquired about doing their ads, and looked into potential venues to house our events.  

 Inspire has partnered with local charity D.C. Strings who gives marginalized groups access to free music lessons, instruments, and venues they would have never had the opportunity to travel to. On June 18th we will be launching #DCGIVESBACK  we plan on highlighting D.C. Strings It was our job today to come up with ways in which we could get the community involved with their amazing cause. 1. Social Media: challenges, tik toks, video footage, interviews with students, teachers, and sponsors. 2. Events: Block Party, Festival, Pop-Ups, Parades, Bazaars 3. Promo: Podcasts, radio, College Students spread the word, animation gifs, Who are we highlighting: the everyday person (hero)

 Today we played "marketing firm". I was asked to come up with a logo, pitch, chant, and company name to represent myself. It was my goal as a  leader to get as many of the new interns to want to join my team. I named my company "Elevate" I represented three core values. I called them the three Es. ( Educate, Entertain, Elevate) I learned how to build a team based on my strengths and the strengths of others.
